Dungeon Heroes Beginner Guide
First 30 Minutes
Launch Dungeon Heroes on Roblox by Twin Atlas. Redeem active codes from our codes page for potions, EXP boosters, and cosmetic auras—DELAY-D13 and SAKURA are examples of high-value bundles that make your first Shattered Forest runs smoother. Pop an EXP booster before your first serious farming session so level gates to Orion's Peak arrive sooner.
Complete Shattered Forest on Normal to learn dodge mechanics. On PC, press Q to roll through enemy swings with invincibility frames; on mobile, tap the dedicated dodge button at the same timing window. Do not skip tutorial telegraphs—they repeat on Bol'zarog and every later boss. Pick up the first weapon drop that matches your chosen path: swords and axes for physical, staves for magic.
Talk to hub NPCs and open every menu once so you know where codes, skill chests, pet stables, and sell vendors live. Confusion in the hub costs more time than one extra Normal run.
Build Choice: Physical or Magic
Physical beginners slot Piercing Wave or Rumble from the Shattered Forest chest alongside a physical weapon. You will stand closer to enemies but kill single targets quickly with basic attack weaves between skills. Magic beginners slot Fireball with a staff, kiting wolf packs at range and layering AoE when mobs group in doorways.
Skill rarity matters more than skill level—celebrate a Rare drop even at level 1. Never level a Common skill past early placeholders; save keys for chest rerolls. The golden rule: physical skills on physical weapons, magic skills on magic weapons. Breaking this rule is the number-one reason beginners feel weak despite "high level" skills.
Your First Key Spends
Keys come from dungeon clears and open the Shattered Forest skill chest at the hub. Before spending, read guides/keys-and-chests and tier-list/skills/shattered-forest so you recognize S-tier drops. Batch your opens when possible—community superstition aside, batching helps you emotionally survive bad streaks.
Do not spend keys on pet merges until you own at least one S-tier skill matching your weapon. Pets amplify a working build; they cannot fix a mismatched loadout.

Return to guides/progression once you hit level 15 and unlock Orion's Peak. That roadmap sequences every dungeon through Astral Abyss so you never wonder what to farm next.
Common Beginner Mistakes
Opening the wrong skill chest type after changing weapons. Dumping keys into leveling C-tier skills like Ferocious Roar. Ignoring dodge i-frames and eating boss slams. Selling every duplicate without building Magic Dust savings for later rerolls. Merging B-tier pets because five Bulwarks dropped early. Each mistake is reversible, but fixing them early saves dozens of hours on Insane progression.
